OscarWorks supports leaders at inflection points—when decisions need to land fast and clarity, alignment, and momentum are non-negotiable.
Oscar Wang is an operator, builder, researcher, and a disciplined provocateur. She isn’t brought in to maintain the status quo. For over twenty years, she has stepped into leadership roles at moments of change — to build, scale, reset direction, and bring people through growth and transformation in high uncertainty environments.
Her leadership is human and respectful, and always laser focused on impact .
As a practitioner, Oscar played a central role in building and scaling both Bounteous and Prophet globally, and has helped many clients through periods of fast growth or strategic shift.
Today, she remains a committed investor and loyal friend to both firms, and focuses OscarWorks on partnering with PE-backed and transforming companies when progress slows despite strong talent — especially when organizations need:
- Clarity when priorities compete
- Alignment when teams “agree” but act differently
- Momentum when execution starts to fragment
Alongside her practitioner work, Oscar conducts doctoral research at University of Michigan in leadership, strategy, and AI-enabled organizations, using research to sharpen practice, and practice to inform research.
This work is deeply meaningful to her, because leadership (successful or not) directly affects people and their lives. If leaders can create a little more clarity, a little more steadiness, and a little more humanity, then work becomes lighter, and progress becomes possible.
That’s the purpose of OscarWorks.
Born and raised in Beijing, Oscar has built her professional life and raised her family in the US. Moving between systems and cultures shaped how she works: direct, grounded, and attuned to how people experience pressure and change.
Outside of work and study, Oscar is a devoted hockey mom, an avid snowboarder, a local food pantry volunteer, and teaches at her alma mater, Northwestern University. She and her better half who she met in high school, run a three-generation household in Chicago.
Her full professional background is available on LinkedIn.
